Dia Island

One of our most popular whole day dive packages is the trip to the beautiful Dia island, which lays about 9 miles North East of Agia Pelagia.

The boat ride aboard “Petros-Iro” takes about thirty to forty minutes.

We do here two dives, one around Petalidi islet which is on the North-West side and one in Paksimadi islet which is on the East side of Dia island.

Both dive sites are popular for the crystal clear water which surround them with the visibility to reach over 50 meters most time of the year, and the drop offs which take your breath away. These dive sites are suitable for experienced and non experienced certified divers as the depths range from 7-8 meters to 30+ meters.

Both islets accommodate a great deal of marine life, including groupers, large pelagic fish (depending on the season), small fish, sponges and a wide variety of shells, nudibranchs and pharaoh warms. The bottom’s morphology is fantastic and the great visibility leaves the divers breathless. During our course we meet huge rocks and little caves along the vertical walls.

It is certain, that divers will enjoy an unforgettable diving day, as Dia island’s wild landscape will accomplish the scenery’s fascination in between the dives.

In order to do this trip, we need good sea conditions and a minimum number of 6 divers.

The meeting time at the dive center for this trip is at about 09:00 and returning time to the dive center is at about 16:00. There is an additional cost of 50€ per person on this day trip and it includes water, refreshments and fruits but no meal. Divers may use the boat’s mini fridge and cabin to store any extra food and beverages they might wish to bring with them on the trip.

Please find more information about our programs for certified divers and make a reservation here.
